I just downloaded the Google Reader App for my Android Droid 2 phone in hopes of accessing the blogs I follow through Blogspot. Honestly, it isn't working too well. Apparently I am subscribing on the website, but not in the app, yet the entries appear under New? Hmm...gotta figure this out.
But the lead me to a-searching about my following on here. And I seem to be the only follower of two different blogs. I hope this is a strange phenomenon and I am simply the only PUBLIC follower, with a dozen or so glimmering in the background. What do you think causes this? I was under the impression that everyone has a Google account, and is therefore capable of following in Blogger/Blogspot. I know no one reads this, but I am much less interesting than these other friends of mine.

I'm beginning to think that I might actually get followers (other than my steampunk self) if I bothered to write anything of worth. Heck, anything at all really. Some pictures would be nice too.
The trouble is my life: it's never of interest until suddenly it is and I have no time to tell you how awesome things are. But then life progresses and there is too much to tell. See? I'm already boring you :|

Why "The Vortex"?
This is a tale which traverses much of my life and you may most likely find terribly boring. But since I have yet to explain it to anyone, maybe now is a decent time to start.
Back when I was a little mell42, probably about the time I first misspelled "Mel's" as "Mell's" when designating a folder on the family PC, I needed a project for my new Gel Pens and ultra-cool black paper tablet. I decided to make a sign for my room. This sign, of course, needed to not label the room as mine, but to designate the name of my room as its own space. What was the area which I was particularly inhabiting?
This moniker which I divined was THE VORTEX. Thereafter every titled space which held my entity was christened as the next incarnation of this Vortex. Thus actual rooms, fake rooms, various notebooks, my LiveJournal, and other random entities are called this with the corresponding Roman numeral.
Thirteen will be skipped, of course.
